Indeed, the mysterious monochrome art style became 2000s trend that cannot be forgotten, especially in fantasy series!
Nabari no Ou is the best author's work yet. I hope that Kamatani will feel inspired for Nabari again someday.

It's open ending and leaves some ambiguity for the reader, I want to see more Yoite!

The conflict is very interesting even though I was initially confused by all ninja term in it.

I wish this had english chapters but wow, do I like this mangaka! Read some of his other stuff, you won't be disappointed!

Also watch the anime for this manga, its kind of cheesy at times but the music is lit and it deviates from the manga in an interesting way.

Definitely one of my all time my favorite mangas. Try different websites to read english version, it'll be worth it. Artwork gets better and better, character development is so beautiful and the plot twists are amazing. 10/10 best modern day ninja story.
