@boag: Dunno about your flawless logic but what are you talking about official publication? Hentai is published in magazines as "official" as any other shonen, seinen, shojo or josei magazine. I think you missed or misunderstood something.

Im gonna repeat myself: only people that never read hentai or think that all sex in manga is hentai would think that this is hentai. Just a tip:
- All cats are felines. Not all felines are cats.
- Basketball is played with a ball. Not everything played with a ball is basketball.
- All hentai is sex oriented manga. Not all sex oriented manga is hentai.

Since you seem to know the answer: this is even more sex oriented and explicit than lots of hentai (i.e. a large portion of the exhib genre). Where exactly does the distinction lie?

I think Mangadex needs to update their rules on what they mean by "hentai". Right now the rules could be read to mean anything that is primarily pornographic has to be categorized as hentai:

1.9 Tag porn (and only porn) as hentai. Ecchi and smut do not count. The primary focus must be on the sex, and genitals must be visible (typical censorship aside).

1.9.1 Oversimplified rule of thumb: if it's mostly porn with some plot, it's probably hentai; if it's mostly plot with some porn, it's probably not.

I get where the Scanalator is coming from, but as a reminder the original Mangadex domain was banned in several countries because adult content was viewable without login or age verification. If the "hentai" tag is meant to keep the site above board in those countries then this may need to be tagged as "hentai", though then I'd argue the "hentai" tag needs to be renamed. ;P
