I think the way it solve is better than i even expect. just the cliffhanger it self show up is very rush to begin with. and it also can't explain how the girl only forget about MC ?
This author do give me some nice atmosphere. hope will see better manga with his next work if possible

Thought i would enjoy it, but as the story went on, the similarities to Anohana became a little bit too obvious.

Not that you have that much freedom in executing this kind of plot anyway, but still.
