The Garuda looks like a Luchador, and I want to see it put one of the kids into a Spinning Piledriver.

That beast got released at a convenient time… one of my guesses would be that some of those third-years did that see what Nanao's potential is. My other guess is that maybe one of their group released it, fully knowing that Oliver and Nanao should be able to bring it down while scoring points against the conservatives?

What I mean is, it literally ping-pongs. The characters don't follow their character. Like Oliver, preaching logic, yet always getting overly emotional. Or Nanao, going from "I want to die" to "I love this guy I just met". The story skips all over the place, detention to duel to hunt to dead students. So far, there are no consistent themes in the events taking place, beyond "school" and "magic". There is no actual main story, just a scattered collection of misfit students dealing with random shit. At least Harry Potter always had some endgame being hinted at, this just seems completely random.

The setting is all over the place, the world building is chaotic and the story is going at the speed of sound just so you don't have the time to think about everything that doesn't work.

How the fuck is this school functional?
You've got seniors who won't hesitate to kill juinors if they stay in school when it is dark out. The students basically have live firearms 24/7 without constant supervision. Better yet, the students can FREELY fuck with the cages that store lethal animals. Although Kobalts are a minor threat, they are still dangerous.
How is it that everyone isn't dead due to the lack of safety precautions present in this school?
