@4V29LN0n The demon is obviously unhappy with how they've been treating the clones, so he uses this clone summoning him and making a wish he can't grant based on her remaining lifespan as an excuse to claim the souls of everyone in the facility. Basically they've gone so far that even a genuine demon said, "Whoa, you need to stop that shit," and then put a stop to it.

It certainly didn't hurt that he gained all those souls in the process.
