@verypeeved because he's getting cocky now that he has a new motivation and we've seen what happens when this protagonist gets cocky it doesn't go well for him or the people around him. So I'd rather see him take it seriously, learn from his mistakes, think things through, and not have history repeat itself like the two other times he got cocky when it came to dealing with difficult or serious situations.
