Natsu wo Oboeru

If japanese spend their lives like this, I am glad to be born russian.
Also, both those characters are pretty rotten, boring and so idiotic, that it almost reeks of schizophrenia.

I pity mangaka, if this is how he sees the world. Wish I could talk to him.

Pretty interesting overall. Just a normal coming-of-age type story. I'd be lying if I said I didn't relate somewhat to parts of this. Nothing much happened story wise but it wasn't meant to, it's just displaying life. I have started to appreciate more low-key works like these a lot more lately, more realism style stories where things aren't romantized with the common story archetypes. Nothing too interesting but I think it achieved what it set out to do.

A pleasant feeling, like laying on the grass, basking in the summer heat, dreaming and dreaming, until the point where you have to open your eyes.

The fuck was the whole point of what I just read? The description says "A summer story of 17-year-old Yousuke who has a crush on his teacher Aiko." but
not once did he say he liked her... not to mention he has a thing going on with another chick...

EDIT: >,> Why the fuck do people think this was a good read?

@GruntZone360 yeah I agree. I was expecting something at least, it was just very lacking.
story exists but is barely used, plot points briefly mentioned and nothing expanded on. trash/10

I get why people don't like this, but I can't not love this story. I'm not sure exactly why, but it makes me feel, which is what I appreciate about it. I'm not sure what exactly this feeling is, but it's bittersweet. I relate to the main character, how he says things but clearly doesn't feel much passion about it like when he was with his friend or that girl.

What... is going on?

I loved the two previous works of Okado-sensei. Now I saw a descriptions that tickles my interest and, well... this manga was so indifferent to me that I don't even know if the description is accurate.

4/10, and that's being generous.

this is the first time i've ever thought to myself "what the hell did i just read". I suppose it was an interesting read and the characters felt real but with nothing ever happening it just leaves you feeling empty and confused. I didn't expect much so I didn't hate it but i didn't particularly enjoy it either. If you have nothing better to do and want to waste some time then this is alright, just don't expect any romantic development.
