It is because their opponents are so brokenly overpowered that the MC and crew can not do literally anything except be saved by pure coincidences or infighting alone. They literally have nothing besides MC's limited hero knowledge and anything else they can bullshit their way through. Humanity lost in this world, and the only reason they are still alive is because the other 4 groups simply just don't give too much of a shit about them. Basically, there is a huge lack of tension since somehow things will just manage to be bullshitted through. I am calling it now though, at some point, MC will be NTR's by someone because that is about all the extra drama this series can actually make anymore.
