Can't say I'm that surprised by kajurN's spoiler.

The last panel of the story kind of implies that Yatori was out of the picture by Ikta having her short sword.

Not that I particularly mind a story that's okay with killing off important characters, especially since it seemed that she was outdated for what the Princess wanted the Empire to become.

Also, vol 11 is now completely translated, which means that there are 3 light novel volumes remaining of the story, with 12 being worked on currently.
