Rio makes a reappearance!! The fact that he can appear where Toraji can see his reflection makes me wonder if the two are somehow the same. Or at least connected in a spiritual fashion. It would help explain why Toraji defaulted to imagining a human mother.

Ahh either way, Pai'yan 100% needs to adopt Toraji already. ;o; Poor, precious thing tries so hard for him in spite of fears of being abandoned.

@betony, he imagined jose specifically! he's totally a transformed rio. i think some earlier chapters imply that hes fundamentally different from other mixes due to his not wanting to go back to being an animal too
