Love that detail about tanuki... though sitting on the scrotum seems to be a common thing? There's another series where they're having a picnic and "she" folds up the blanket(scrotum) and tucks it away, much to the MC's surprise. ("Wait. I thought you were female; what about your breasts?" "Those are my testicles.")
