a really sad thing is that the author of this killed herself. I dont know why she did, but it feels very eerie reading such a dark story she wrote with that as background knowledge, god rest her soul

Wow, never thought I'd see this manga translated. I've seen the Cat Soup movie (which I know has nothing to do with the manga other than the main characters being the same), but have never read the manga.

Yeah, I heard about that and it dose make this manga a bit sad to read knowing that. I heard the Cat Soup movie was done by the husband (they both worked on the manga together) and knowing that gives the movie a whole new meaning beyond just being 'weird'.
