Not a complete Kou ex machina in the end, there's that at least. Plus the focus is back on Aoba for a chapter, yay !
 
The end of this arc was... how to say, I am at a loss of words here.

The arc was pretty bad in whole, but this chapter alone was fine, and it only starts going back uphill from here.

Excluding Momiji.
 
Not completely Kou ex machina yes but in a big part, all what Kagami has done in the chapter shown how much the team still can't work without them and how a certain senior should really work her ass to get rid of her shyness, looking at you Hifumi. That's nice to say nice words here and now but you're suposs to be the senior hereand yet you let everyone does her shit and just watch. Hifumi is so passive that it's painful. She is suposs to be here as almost the same time as Kou and Rin but yet has not progress with her problems. Every character has change or progress one way or the other but Hifumi ? Nothing, still the shy girl in the background. I won't blame the author to use Kou as an Ex-machina because there is no one capable of doing Kagami's job but i wish someone could do it. Of course losing Kou for the main cast is hard but team really had to grow out of Kagami. Also, showing off that Christine seem out of the loop. Yes you will have competition but rushing a game because you fear another game is not the best idea if your game end up being bad. Not only you will still lost to the other game but that's bad advertisement for the company so yes, the delay was the best solution.

And Aoba's Harem continues to grow.

What harem ? Kou has already Rin. Aoba can continue to keep her decorative plant Hifumi all she want.

This is like "Let's go back to the original new game but with new elements to spicy things up" and that's good, many characters have evolved and matured. I wonder, if we make a popularity poll right now, what's gonna look like?

Only Aoba managed to grow up during this arc. Hifumi stayed passive and couldn't solve the team problem. Hajime didn't show one bit of leadership. Yun was forgotten since the contest. I don't even want to mention Momoji because I felt like she was downgraded. Kou still played quite big part in solving the problems which these three seniors should have done. Let's just hope that next arc get better and focus MORE on Aoba.
 
I'm glad it's over. What an horrendous arc, hopefully the next will be better.
I have mixed feelings about how the official scans have caught up with the scanlation work. At least waiting for Doki won't be as painful anymore, or maybe this will get to put out the following chapters faster because as we all know nothing puts a fire under a scanlator ass more than others doing "their work" first be it a "snipe" or official LT.
