Nido Tensei shita Shounen wa S-Rank Boukensha Toshite Heion ni Sugosu: Zense ga Kenja de Eiyuu Datta Boku wa Raise dewa Jimi ni Ikiru - Ch. 8 - The D…

So??!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Its implying on this chapter that this party will be a future proof S-Rank party, the Dragon Slayers, in which the return of investment to MC will be masking his insane achievements to continue his lax second life...

See, this kind of misunderstanding isn't funny if it's not a set up. If the MC had trolled the guy and steered the butler guy into thinking he was the dragon slayer then it'd be funny. Like if he noticed the butler scouting and wanted to mislead him so he pointed at the guy and yelled "oh wow, isn't that DRAGON SCALE armor?" That would be funny. This is just... some butler dude being an idiot while mc unsubtly blunders along not concealing his power in the least.

Is that mana overload? And he's still alive, what a stubborn lad 🤣

Okay, butler guy is a complete moron. It's surprising that he hasn't gotten fired yet. I mean, the Dragon Slayer refused to the first invitation for a dinner with the noble. What makes you think that he would accept it the second time you invite him, even if you come in person? If he'd say he'll accept that invitation so easily, then the highest probability is that he is not the guy.

MC: This is normal right?
Everyone: No it's borderline unbelievable
MC: Yep super common just as I thought
I mean ffs I get the trope but I feel like they always drag it out too long. I don't care if your title is based on that premise you need to let your damn MCs develop as people OP or not. On that matter just stop making your damn title a fricking synopsis of your story!

@dextersTomato 3rd life actually, but yeah. Although this'll probably end with him becoming a legendary teacher of various skills, magic, swords, smithing, etc.

When the MC has no more room for development so you get excited about the side characters developing instead

@Lioslin That's more because of the medium they come from. These stories originally start as Web novels, and because of how they are set up, their titles NEED to be a synopsis...

It works well for the medium... but then, when it becomes an actual novel/manga, it doesn't work as well.

To many fans in Japan, it's not a big deal since it's more normal to deal with it and they probably became fans when it was a web novel...

But to us, who don't get it with the same format, it's kinda jarring...

So it's more of a Japanese otaku thing that doesn't translate as well outside the culture... so give it some slack...
