Nidome no Jinsei wo Isekai de - Vol. 2 Ch. 7 - She Seems to Be a Peddler

Nah, being able to cut a thick wooden pole has little to do with the sword being Japanese. It's all about fantasy skills and powers. In fact the dude is pathetic if he can only do it with a katana and no other sword.

It's literally his old sword. A thing he became accustomed to using over a period of time that was not insignificant. If he isn't better at using that specific sword than others, even other katanas, the author would be a moron.

I don't mind the katana. There are a good number of manga that use western swords. I am tired of the trope that everything Japanese impresses the foreigner/other-worlder. "Best meal I ever had" type thing.

I am getting tired of swords though. It seems a sword will be the main characters weapon 90% of the time. You rarely see the MC use a halberd, battleaxe, or warhammer. There is a preference for the super-fast over the super-strong.

oh brother here we go again, the otherly mean people cause the mc doesn't look like an adventure cause he isn;t wearing leather or heavy armor

Let me give up this god weapon for a normal cheap sword because im japanese and superior nipon steel folded 10,000 times

@Glomoro I mean I get the reason, but almost all isekai go the same path for the weapon. I wanna see someone get isekaied and bust out nunchucks lol

KITAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
"Phew... Japanese swords are amazing"!!!!!!! Superior Nippon steel being best in the world simply cause it's Japanese, FUCK YEAH!!
I wonder if we'll also get superior Japanese food. Natto is obviously the best in the world simply for being Japanese too.

Also, don't know the names in English (studied in Spanish), but while Diamond is "hard" (i.e., you can't cut it or pierce it unless you also use diamond), it's not "insert-word-here" (meaning, a simple hammer would smash it into a million tiny pieces). I doubt you could take down a wall with that...
But well, "a God made it", so whatever.

Ah yes, grorious nippon steel, folded over a thousand times, cut filthy gaijin swords like butter, what a new and interesting concept
