@Thor Thank you for the info. I tried to check out the WN. The translator did put up TOC with chapter titles. It was relatively easy to speculate which chapter it was. However, this scene didn't happen in the WN. So I got confused. There seems to be an encounter with this guy later on but I don't think it's the same...

I guess this might be adapted from LN version?

@mismarca Of course. This was the one that was going to be adapted into an anime. But then the author's twitter history showed racism against chinese. Mostly something about the beginning being directly related to a massacre of chinese in real world history (I forget specifically) and how he's a japanese supremacist. After these things surfaced, all the voice actors pulled out and the anime got cancelled.

The artist carries this manga adaptation really.
