Nietzsche-sensei - Konbini ni, Satori Sedai no Shinjin ga Maiorita - Vol. 6 Ch. 31 - Serving Customers 365 Days A Year

Reminds me if my customer service days 😩 It was fun but really stressful (we were placed in a popular spot and around lots of bars....I worked the night shift....) This manga is such a blessing, Nii-kun out here exposing my inner thoughts

To be fair, why are they all the same word?

That panel and the Troublesome one were gold though

Gotta say I don't understand the point of that "I am 20 or over" button. When I was in Japan and bought beer etc they always made me push it but they never actually check for ids or anything, so basically anyone could buy anything by just touching a touch screen.

"You are out there serving customers unarmed?" killed me.
Also I can't imagine complaining about those damn honor system buttons when you actually have to take out your ID in the US.

@Bente_Koini I imagine it's a liability thing. If you say you're over 20 and aren't, then you lied and that puts the onus on you. At that point the store can just go "He said he was over 20" and not get in trouble. Then again, I'm only familiar with the US so I may be wrong.

@Xitel Yeah, that's got to be it. It just seems so damn pointless... But maybe service workers have a hard time asking for ids in Japan, with how you are practically supposed to grovel before your customers, so they came up with a way to circumvent having to ask it out loud? Still, if it worked like that here you can be sure teenagers would happily pressing that button in troves every single weekend.

@Bente_Koini True, but it's also Japan, where the honor system actually works sometimes. And I imagine a cashier is still supposed to stop a sale if it's someone who is very visibly underage (I recall it comes up in another manga recently-ish), it's just an added layer of "seriously, don't be a liar."
