Looking ahead in the WN, no real romance has happened so far, but Kalan and Nick do seem like they could develop into something. Some of the other characters have jokingly told them to "stop flirting". The growth of the relationship/friendship/trust of the party is one of the main aspects of the story.

Nah, novel isn't translated, I went the MTL route. I'm probably not the best judge, but overall, it feels like a pretty good fantasy series.

Doesn't turn into an isekai or anything later on, but the 5th party member does have a bit more modern world knowledge and outlook/personality.

I dont really see why the mage girl is against forming a party? She never had any bad experience with one? Like you cant tell me that you get thrown out of a noble family which are known for only caring about status and then you dont trust anybody anymore

@Vini he would have done the exact same thing if he found a party in the bar? His old party didnt even betray him he just didnt fit in

I wonder if the idol 'saving' him (and by extension all of them) will be played straight. That would be pretty novel, as in this type of story I'd normally expect it to be a set-up for the idol doing something the guy considers a betrayal in the future.
