@Tearsax Reminds me of grimgar where newbie "adventurers" are given free lodgings and even starting money exactly because their pay sucks until they can hunt better stuff.
And if they lose that money and lodgings without ever acquiring a functional party (they died, etc.) they become bums, sleeping in dark alleys.

@Redice the guys in Grimgar started out much worse, they were complete avarage teenage newbies coming straight from a modern world, and without their memory to boot.
While these guys lack experience, at least they are already plenty competent. The protagonist group in Grimgar lacked both and had to literally crawl their way to decent livelihood.
