yeah im not particularly fond of the female lead in this chapter. she shouldn’t jump to conclusions just because the emperor is nice to her. and the lying really needs to stop, this will lead to unimaginable pain in the future.

i really like the other guy, he’s such a sweetheart and is just vibing

I get that she should tell the truth... But its very different when it's the Emperor who can cut off your head at a whim. In a fit of rage, he might do just that. He's already traumatized by his wife's death to the point of banning marriage unreasonably. @reallyreece If I were her I'd keep the secret and my life. I would do my best to solve the crown princess's murder if that was true and tell the king she finally moved on so he could too. Then gtfo so the case is closed. Unfortunately, it seems there will be romance. In that case, it might get messy if she hides the truth.

i understand but it’s her actions that im upset about. lying in the first place by taking advantage of someone who is still grieving is just messed up. i feel like even if she does solve the case, the king will still keep coming after her just to see talk to the crown princess again instead of moving on.

i do agree with you that there will be romance (and it will be chaotic once the truth comes out) but i hope it’s with the other guy than the king. only he has seen through her act earlier and i notice she lets her guard down around him
