Could someone make an announcement/notice of what manga/manhua/manhwa/comic that got licensed in huge banner(if possible)? The recently licensed kuma kuma makes me so mad that I almost throw my laptop out of window and about to spam seven sea's twitter only remembering that my internet sucks so bad on media socials..
if possible make list of those licensed title and the company that taken down em.

@riz Please don't harass the official publisher, lol. Regardless of how much you enjoy it, scanlation is entirely illegal . The publishers aren't responsible for taking the chapters off of MangaDex, that was the scanlator's own choice.

As for making a list of what publishers have licensed which series, that's more reliant on someone doing the work than us actually implementing the feature.

Woah

Iirc regarding scanlation, whether a series has been liscensed or not it doesn't necessarily mean one could not still scanlated it(?) or so on.

i'm pretty sure i've seen a list like the one requested. just don't recall where on the net. could be MU? sourced from publishers, most likely.
i agree with Plykiya, this is more of a user-contribution thing rather than a MangaDex feature.

You could always just buy the official release. I mean, it would only be like $10 every 3 months or so.

You know, not to be a broken record, but this is probably why Illegal Manga sites will never die.

This issue almost always pops up monthly, scan group removes chapters, a bunch of people get pissed off, then these users go off to Kiss manga, Mangakalot, Mangapanda and Mangapark(.net) and permanently stay there.

Even if I wanted to quit using them, I literally can't. It's the only way I can access chapters when a scans group like Omari sister's (Now called Crimson Flower) nuke's their own work online. Do you really think having a hole of 15 chapters is going to stop me from reading Akagami Shirayukihime? No!!!! I'm gonna go download the missing chapters, one click at a time if I have to, each chapter. The worst is when the Official Publisher stops working on their License when it becomes unprofitable like Yen Press almost ALWAYS DOES. (Maouyuu Yuusha.) Then what? 😕

This part is largely irrelevant because if a scanlator wanted a series taken down for this reason, then obviously scanlation of further chapters stop unless someone else picks it up.

PS. MD is also illegal, but isn't scummy and doesn't run ads, which is a large reason why people read here.

@shouldsleep

I don't know about that. Even if no one new keeps translating Kuma Kuma, etc, it's still only possible to read the previous chapters on those Manga Aggregators. Ads or no ads, that's an offer many people can't refuse.

Who am I kidding though, this topic will pop up in another month anyways.

> make list of those licensed title

Wasting of time IMO. It's not like every Bob and Joe licensing manga. There's basicly "big trio" 7seas/viz/yen + kodansha comics. It's not that hard to check their sites.

Wow, that was hard. Feel free to go through the entire list and organize it how you like... or even do different searches for those specific publishers. It's not all that hard.

And like others have said, it's not always the publisher that forces titles to be removed. If the group working on it doesn't feel comfortable continuing scanlation after it has been licensed, it's their prerogative to remove it themselves.

It's a circular argument - removing control from groups would mean we're no better than any other scummy aggregator, etc...
