This was a nice quick-fix solution, but even if the story ends here Kido won't be able to bear such weight.
Anyway, I don't get Kido and Emiru in this situation. They are smart enough to pull off some ingenious plans, yet dumb enough to declare their wish to confess to Madoka in front of the main villain, and then give her time to take some action. Well, I guess it's more Kido's fault, he isn't that bright.
