@aigomorla@Greg_no_Gregory Good question; the raw text for that line on page 10 is 呪いの剣に , and jisho says "sword (originally esp. a doubled-edged sword); sabre; saber; blade"

So in JP it's probably just a generic term for pointy things (I dunno; I'm not a translator). I think I would probably classify Carmilla as a sword under a broad definition of the term "sword"? I don't have a great opinion either way. It looks like there's a lot of ways to say "short sword" or "dagger" : https://jisho.org/search/dagger but none of them are used here. I tend to think of all three (five if you count side characters, I guess) of them as swords, and I think our team does as well. Maybe it's the same for the mangaka.
Or maybe the mangaka just typo'd it and the volume release will say 短剣 . Beats me. I think I'll just leave it as "sword" for now. Good eye, tho!
@Daxar Honestly though, I don't take too much issue with it. I just assumed "cursed sword" was meant to be a general term, and not her being or becoming an actual sword (as she's meant to be a dagger). Either way, fantastic chapter.
