Ohayou Toka Oyasumi Toka - Vol. 5 Ch. 27 - Letting My Father Know

Ughh no hes still a shit ass dad.
He should have tried harder when Wahei was avoiding him, because it was obvious that Wahei was a lonely suffering kid. But the dad just chose to run away and avoid him as well because it was a bit difficult.

And he hasnt changed at all, just leaving in the morning without saying goodbye because it's a little difficult, unbelievable.

Yea, the Dad's still as shit as ever. But I think it's good to take solace in the fact that Wahei has sort of accepted the fact and moved on to find new meaning.

Oh joy, it's the selfish shitbag absentee father that everybody still likes for reasons I can't quite fathom.

Honestly, it's a bit of a mixed bag. He wasn't the best father, but he does love his son and wish for the best. And he did financially care for him.

The girls might not fully understand their big brother's pain because he himself is giving them the father figure they need, so they can easily get along with him.

On the other hand, our boy did not have that. He felt pain and suffered because of his dad's free nature. But holding that anger did not benefit him, so instead, he chose to be at peace. For himself and his sisters.

Quite a warm-blooded dude to be able to sleep like that, in little clothing and without a blanket. Or the apartment is really hot.

@KawaiingMegane Yeah, it's shitty for the girls, but if Wahei just forgets the past (forgives it), it doesn't matter much to him anymore. An adult son won't really see the parents that often anyway in societies where children move away from home, not uncommonly to a totally different part of the country. But then again, even the girls can accept it more easily because Wahei certainly functions quite similarly to a father figure for them, at least for the twins. Also for Hotaka in the sense of being a reliable adult, the head of the household, who is pretty much always around when needed, just as much as a normal working father would be.

It's honestly kind of nice that they kind of made peace somewhat even if there's regrets in the past.

Dad still sucks, but thanks to him being this bad at parenting now Wahei has a bigger, happyish family so whatever

dammit moe panda scans, was ready to shit on the dad ('cause he obviously deserves and he still leaves because he is a coward, and if he finds another woman is higly likely he will f*ck up again)
but well, as Wahei is a friggin mature adult, he forgave him and at least thanks to his new family he can move on... and well the dad can appear as the kids like him.

the problem in the end, the kids now he's shitty like that, but the mom pretty much abandoned them, and that scar is a lot bigger (for hotaka).

Also the chopsticks, did he srsly expected wahei to keep it?

Sorry, but the father's still a giant piece of shit and deserves no forgiveness. "Hey son, here's my children I abandoned from my other failed marriage, raise them for me, thanks!"

He's a deadbeat, and honestly just as bad as the mother. In slightly different ways, sure, but still the fucking worst.

These damn parents only interested in their kids when its convenient for them.
