Pixiv Comics has been changing the way they format their online reader, so I've had to run the raws through a service (waifu2x) to improve their quality, as the originals are really unusable - which also resulted in what you described! It's not really an improvement in the art per se, but the image quality in the scans has been highly improved and refined.

@instant_noodle might be the settings of the image improvement service I'm using. I've been noticing that textures are coming out weird as well, so I'll try to experiment with more settings for the next chapter to make sure it looks better.
