Okashiratsuki - Vol. 1 Ch. 1 - An Unfortuante Encounter with Utsumi

iz ma boi ThePaulBunyanTrophy translatin another manga, I'm down

If I could sleep with an art style, this would be it.
This one chapter got everything I could ever ask for in a chapter, it's practically perfect.
The pacing, the panel structure, the facial expressions, the characters, the tone, the setting, etc. Everything.

And boy, you know I had to click on this manga because of that water color cover page. I'm the biggest sucker for gorgeous water color art.
Thank you translators/scanlators/redrawing group for bringing us this manga! ??I love it.

This was your first time scanlating? Scratch that, i misread your end note lol. Everything else still applies XD Damn you too good. All the text were centered with a readable font. Although the comic sans threw me lol And the translation and clear and correct (grammarically from my poor proofreader skills lol)
Nice nice. Not inly that but the mangaka chose. *Nodding my head in approval.* Would love to see the continuation

Thank you for picking this up! I know the author's art from a mile away, they're my favorite! I hope to see more from their story! Also maybe from the tanning store owner and the sister, maybe? Haha. ?

As for your scanlating work, it's great, nice and clean, easy to understand. My one bit, I guess is maybe choosing another font for smaller text maybe, on page 21 the 'minami-kun' is kinda hard to see against the background.

Thank you for scanlating this!! Looks super interesting, can't wait to see what happens

Rereading this, I just realized that it's the main girl giving birth at the beginning.

i kinda don't like when the end result is shown right away- i know it's about the "journey" but still...

I wonder if it's a good allegory for difference considering it's something that can be dealt with in mere minutes under local anesthesia. Usually the difference gaining unwanted attention is something that's either impossible to change for good or at least very challenging, or it's something that shouldn't need to be changed in the first place. As such this allegory feels like an understatement, plus there's always the underlying feeling it's totally unnecessary, which turns it from an involuntary difference into a political statement of some sort.
