Usually this is the stuff the abusive villain does, or the first evil love interest pulls before he is unceremoniously dumped. Like the series Raeliana, or countless other Aristocracy Manhwa. This is literally a series where that guy stays the love interest.

I mean dumping your first man and finding someone better is the central conceit of Remarried Empress. And as hateful of Sovieshu is in that, he didn't rape, enslave, etc the Empress Navier in that.

I can't remember exactly why the male lead in this rapes the female lead besides the fact that she looks like the girl he sold off, but he doesn't realize it's actually her until later. And he also claims to be so sad and heartbroken for years after he sold her. I love how even though he stresses that he's been in love with her all these years, he didn't recognize her as he was raping her. How many brain cells do you have to lose to be this dumb LOL

The female lead's best friend was a maid at that place and she wouldn't tell the emperor where the female lead went so he fuckin killed her. I just remembered that lol.

yes he straight up kills her for not telling him where the lead is. And yeah I'm pretty sure the MC knows. I forgot about the murdered best friend because it pretty much gets glossed over. What sucks the most is that there's a second male lead who is just such a perfect boi. He's got his own faults and all that but he's always trying to make the MC's life as comfortable as possible and does his best to make her happy. And she's just like "Damn I could get with this cute guy who respects me and my needs, is kind, considerate, honest, OOORRR I could get back together with the guy who sold me, the guy who murdered my best friend and raped me *drum roll* the Emperor!"
