They weren't able to COMPLETELY solve/answer their previous misunderstanding, but as adults, she took the first step to apologize and try to talk to him while he never really gave up. Now, it all depends on whether author will follow the annoying chinese tropes or not. I just hope her friend once she gets exasperated enough that they're still not together despite sensing some romantic undertones (depends on how they'll both act with each other from now on) finally blurts out the needed... thing to push them together if all else fails

I really wanna know how he'll try to win her over. I mean, on top of the "rejection" all those years ago, she pretended not to know him when they met again. He probably thinks she practically hates him or doesn't want any sort of romantic relationship with him at all.
