I actually just binged this today and while I came for the romance, I stayed for the characters lol

It's just that the way the characters are portrayed in their own struggles really hits home and just very relatable.
Now that we're really entering the romance territory, I'd like to see our Gong Yoo Il grow some backbone! Hope we get to see that soon

My guess is that the chef has a vendetta against Tak tho. He and that pap are in cahoots and he knows that Tak likes Gong so he's trying to steal her.
