more of a psychology (this author knows how to make this genre a good manga) than a sport story. If you don't like the art, you can start with the anime which ends at the chapter 82 (you have to read it since the anime make it end there with suspense while the manga keeps its storyline going so midway of the chapter, the anime will differ).

One of the best manga I read. The MC is a beast! I have read it over 5 years ago but I couldn't forget him. I don't know anything about baseball nor do I care. If your favorite combo is sport + mind games + genius MC I highly recommend this manga.
