@themanj You're not wrong, but I think you're missing the point of the word "assassin". The idea is not to play fair or announce yourself in advance. Ideally by the time someone knows you're after them, you've already touched them and triggered your power. At that point it's a bit late to say "Hang on a minute while I get a sniper, would you?"
As to attacks being easy to counter/dodge, that's show business. You see it in movies, anime, manga--gotta have moves with flash (which are not actually very practical).
