Ookami wa Nemuranai

Lecan? More like a Lackey. As of yet it's some kind of soft cuckold starring presumably multidimensional hardened adventurer being lapdog for a year, with some nice action too!

ooh the tl is already one chapter behind the raws... so expect this one to be another month then?

I love the dark souls vibes. The monsters are really well thought / non generic. Same with the exploration & items.

It's like a laid-back adventure/action manga... I like it. Good creepy monster designs.

Even though the Isekai tag technically isn’t wrong, it’s quite a bit misleading. This story doesn’t hit many of the usual beats of an everyday Isekai. Lecan even comes from another fantasy world (which is why it’s debatably not an Isekai), and there aren’t levels or magical menus or any of that game-like shit, this manga feels more realistic than most actually

Purge that isekai genre tag as it is inviting some isekai fans that love their overused tropes.
This is something that shouldn't be smudged by the king of sludgicle that is isekai

I don't remember following this one, but I do have a faint memory of this cover and no chapter have been read. So weird. Lets check it out.

Man this came out of no where, I adore the monster designs and the mannerisms of the main character.

I think making him come from somewhere that wasn't just normal earth made a big difference in how likable he was, if that makes any sense.

there's a web novel for this one and it's pretty freakin good. check it out

I disagree. Like many other Syosetu web novels, it has a 'tell, not show' way of writing that makes it hard to enjoy. As others have mentioned, the WN, like the manga, is directionless and boring.

What annoyed me most, is what always ends up annoying me when I read Isekai novels - the MC, no matter how badass he is initially portrayed, ends up being some overly passive individual who allows himself to be swayed to and fro. What happened to his initial ambition to explore the world and get stronger? Oh, I guess it no longer matters since so and so needs him.

I'm having a lot of fun reading this. Others have already gone into detail about just what makes it so great -- I like the pacing, and the detail in the art style makes it particularly enjoyable.

Mmm just realized the MC is Guts with magic. Unfortunately that’s not all that’s similar to Berserk... the release pace matches too, so I guess I’m dropping it.
