I get it that monster was strong, but what the hell. How about crafting some skills before to even prevent the problem in the first place. Or if anything else, craft numb resistance on yourself, we saw that it wouldn't be much more expensive (if not even cheaper), and it will add to his strengths forever.
Remember how he needed less than 10k lp to remove restrictions from healing making it absolutely op? And now he spent 1k just in a spur of moment.
What tilting me is that distraction wasn't even that good idea. There is no telling if enemy would react so loosely to this bluff.
How i see it is author run out of ideas how to not make mc op, but not completely forget his main ability. So he just throwing retarded examples at us, like saying "look, he can do this thing. Cool, right?"
