@urugiru I knew something was up when the bulk upload happens. I just saw smiley's group and assumed it was him and wondered why he did it cause he seemed like a great guy (I interacted with him on facebook). I am happy to know that it isn't smiley and you reconciled with him regardless. I know how hard it is to translate this series without much traction (of course, I'll stay for both parties) and was glad that you will continue this nonetheless. Thanks for the information, both power to you!
Now this guy on the otherhand @horasu, let's talk about you. It's just common etiquette for scanlators to do that, of course there is some situation far worse than this (oh I've seen worse than this), and you have no right to say that when they give you FREE service. Also how is it pushing somebody out when they reached an agreement? There is consent there and that is not "pushing somebody out". There is no confrontation here, there is no enemies here you just want to create a drama between these two. Of course it wouldn't be right to consider your opinion as I myself hadn't get any statement coming from smiley but he's happy there on his facebook page. Plus multiple of the same chapter by different translators is just confusing, so they had to reach an agreement of who will control this manga since those two groups are different from each other (one is fast but sometimes inaccurate and the other is slow but high quality).
Tl:dr Don't listen to @horasu, read the last two pages of this chapter carefully. He's just creating drama that doesn't even concern him whatsoever.

@urugiru I guess that's the thing, I've never thought of doing it just so "more people can enjoy it" (I mean, yes, that's the main purpose of scanlation but not when you just think of doing it in a certain way so you can attract more people to view your version instead of just getting more people to know the manga). I think it's about finding a manga that you like and you discover that it's not available in other language but Japanese then you make it available in other language, if other people sees it then good, if no one sees it then that's fine too. The idea should be not to promote your scanlation group but the manga itself, so don't focus on the views you get but on how much more people are getting to know the manga you like. Do it because you like the manga, even if it gets you 0 views, maybe sometime someone will read it and that will be cool too. Now, don't get me wrong, if views are what give you the motivation to keep going then that's fine too, I certainly can't empathize with that way of thinking but if that gets us more manga translated then I've nothing against it.

Now this is a scanlation. It's so much clearer, both in reading and in picture quality. Something that didn't make sense in the other scanlation was the whole phone being handed over but now it flows.
I stopped reading the chapter dump andter ~10 chapters. I'll just wait for it to be done right.

Till now it's good, it's the first time that I like this kind of genderswap story, different from all the others. Not stupid ecchi with stereotypical character.

That was possibly the most entitled essay I've ever seen. You literally kicked a passionate (if not-great quality wise) scanlator off of Mangadex purely to keep your readership high? This, along with the general tone of the write-up acting like you are the sole owner of a series, Smiley "knows his place", and this uploader needs to apologize somehow (when Smiley's group apparently wasn't locked?), makes me feel more sad that Smiley didn't have the proper readership until now than the fact that you might randomly shut down your whole group because your chapters aren't as popular as they once were.

I was wondering what had happened with that huge burst! I'm glad to know SmileyGuy wasn't responsible - it seemed like kind of a rude bomb to drop. I'm glad you won't be dropping it! I don't usually comment on chapters, though, so I'm not sure if I'm the target audience you care about, lol.

Personally, I've been reading the raws and using your translations to check my understanding--something which I can't really do with the other scanlation--so I do hope you'll continue! Regardless of what ends up happening, thank you for your efforts up to this point in bringing us this manga.

Stay at home only ever met Smiley with hostility in the comments of his uploads, then two faced-ly pretended to be all sweet and nice in their end cards.
They were pissed off from the get go that he dared step on their turf, went on the attack, and continued to just be rude and dismissive of Smiley's efforts when the mass upload happened. There was no link to his work? I never knew Smiley was continuing on FB until recently, and I had to on a whim go to his scanslation page because I wanted to see if he was doing anything else to find it. apparently I'm not the only one who had difficulty finding smiley guy's version Don't pretend like you didn't kick Smiley off and then make his version just as accessible or known because you only wanted people to know about your version.
Everyone pretending there was no hostility between the groups, read between the lines of their comments. They only ever insult Smiley along the way. He's said himself that Facebook is not ideal.
They forced a user off a platform that is meant for EVERYONE by being mean and nasty, by grace of Smiley just being that nice of a dude. They're being manipulative and they know it.
And you know what, these thoughts and rant aren't even inherently for Smiley. I'm defending ALL scanslators here. "Muh Quality" has just been code for gatekeeping since the dawn of scanslation. Every group with a god complex, and their kissass fans, use this as an excuse to shut down any other group who wants to share in on the hobby and offer a different take. Quality is subjective. You can enjoy what you want, but so can everyone else. There's no room on MD for people who are gonna be mean and nasty and bully others off the site, I'm gonna defend every wannabe scanslator's right to upload whatever the hell they want, because THEMS THE RULES ON MD. You don't get to monopolize a series. You don't get to gate keep a series. Let the readers decide if your version is so great, if that's how you really feel. I personally would have read both versions, but because the group itself is so sour, I'm not gonna.

This is literally the dumbest thing that I have ever seen. We as a species are devolving at a rate faster than naturally possible. We cannot sustain this exponential retrogression; we will encounter extinction much sooner than anticipated if we continue to promote a society centered around such mindless, unintelligent reeeeing about getting sniped as this. Please do not let this happen. We are better than this. The very fact that we have been to the moon, that we have developed the technology to send signals of our presence forever echoing throughout the stars is proof of this. And yet presently, we are duly confronted with the very notion that so many find this to be an actual valid argument, and that is quite scary. While it is nice to be able to laugh at something simple every now and again, this is far too retarded to be considered a valid argument. Yes, everyone has his or her own sense of reason, but where is the intelligence? Where is the human ingenuity which has sparked countless advancements in our society heretofore? We are trapped in a dream, nay, a nightmare, saturated with ignorance fully through, and we must awaken as soon as possible, for if we do not, there may not be anything left to awaken to once we have realized the err of our ways.
TLDR: Bullying people cuz you coom to high view counts on your chapters is hella cringe, either release faster or be good enough that people want to read your shit. It'd be somewhat reasonable to bitch if you were a chap behind, but you're literally 33 chaps behind lmao.
