Look, I get that authors always want to reuse the same story beats. It’s in our nature to copy what we see as successful. But unless you’re on the level of Daigo in that one Street Fighter 3 match, parrying is not an OP skill.

the parry the author envision is more of a block than a parry. but thats not realy his fault i guess considering that 95% of video games are also mistaking a block for a parry...
