Ok... Started it just cause learned that it was the first work of Tsubaki-sensei of Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun fame... The humor and nonsense are clearly there, but it lacks the storm of punchlines you get in the 4-koma format so it feels stretched...

The bokke and tsukkomi routine so characteristic is feel a miss here too... But it's to early to say something with just a chapter... The precipitated comment is that MC Mafuyu is the fair Seo with a good deal of awareness.

Seems promising!

Page 7: so to summarize: it is a school for yankee from rich families. Looks like a setup that Mikorin, Nozaki or Miyako in GekkanShoujo would do.

I can say with confidence that not putting boiling water on instant noodles changes nothing the flavour.
