The thing is, if the goddess is truly giving him "divine protection", of any level -- all it means is that all of his major achievements have nothing to do with his own personal merit.
Thus far, it seems like everything he gained, was because of dumb luck, or because extremely powerful people are showing him favor.

All that means, is that I am waiting to see what sort of reason the author could possibly come up with, that'd explain why this random old guy gets so much attention, from so many powerful people, other than for "lul funny".

I'm starting to think the description says "20.." just so people won't be disgusted with the actual age of the priestess, and won't give the story any chances.
