Annnnddddd that's why allowing the formation any form of militant Guild in any world, should be considered a fantastical impossibility.
A bunch of mercs? Okay, perhaps, but a widely accepted establishment that collects and nurtures military power, that can easily thwart the local authority? No sane noble would allow this form of unionization. The entire point about having authority, is also aspiring to have a monopoly on force.

Unless this manga does the Adventurer Guild differently(dont really remember off the top of my head), an Adventurer Guild doesn't really collect military power. An Adventurer Guild just facilitates information exchange and connecting adventurers and employers through the posting of "Quests" as well as ranking Individual adventurers based on their achievements. The Adventurer Guild is just a glorified employment agency.

You're not wrong, but do try to imagine what would happen in a world of power-hungry tyrants, while their commoners band together and create an efficient system to empower themselves as individuals who by definition, adhere to nobody.

True, although I would bet a power-hungry tyrant would be hella interesting in siphoning successful adventurers into their armies(alternatively hiring them as mercs) and the Adventurer Guild is the literal incubator the said successful adventurers. As long as the Adventurer Guild does not build any might of their own and remains a strictly neutral ground, letting the Guild live would be more advantageous. Well, that is based on the assumption that the said tyrant isn't a goddamn idiot though.

That demon was kinda stupid to hire adventurers instead of mercenaries. The latter just care about money most of the time and not justice. Even if there were some adventurers that would have killed Kane after saving the kingdom, they would still back off the momment rhey see most of their collegues against them, making them join for survival or pride (remember that payment comes along by reputation)
