The MC and story are written really badly here.
Not only is there misplaced and forced comedy, but the MC is also so inept somehow his place didn't burn down before the elf arrived and he didn't notice that the place stayed clean?
Why would the elf season his food and mend his socks as well if she was trying to stay hidden? WTF?
Like it was to push the blame and make the MC look bad.
