You know this story and another manga World Embryo have slight similarities, not in plot but in their naming of things like how the MCs names are both Suraga, although in World Em. it is more of a nickname and in Otogi Matsuri it is his last/surname. Also in both the weapons they use to fight are called Jingi and their weilders are both called Jingi Users though while there are a handful of Jingi user in World Embryo there are only four(MC included) in Otogi Matsuri

Manga is very good. Top artstyle with high dinamic of events.
Practically every chapter keeps you up.
Blood, dismemberment, japan mythology.
Reminds me of Gantz, in its best chapters.
Plus some quality drama and romance.
Final battle is one of the best i'v seen. Ending is satisfying.

@AthalosJ maybe its their own fable story? Just like Cinderella or Little Red hood there are so many retelling story, different yet still have the same element
