I really hope Mayu stops him before he does it due to pressure. I'd love to see her get angry at the girls in his class for saying things like that to him.
If he does that, it wont because of pressure, he doesn't really care what other people want from him, that's why he dropped out of school in the first place.
Now he goes to school and wears boys' uniform purely to be by Mayu's side, now that she inspired him to come back and finish his education. He does that for her, not for himself, I think.
So nah, he won't be dyeing his hair.

I can't remember exactly but wasn't it because he was already interested in crossdressing since he was young and got bullied for dressing like a girl that he stopped going to school afterwards?
He should have told those girls they would probably look good as full-blown gyarus, so they should turn themselves into such. Maybe they would have got the hint.
@chusetto actually they think it's for his own good. Because fitting in the group is very important in Japan.
Even teachers there, when they have mixed-blood students with foreign features like lighter hair, or even foreign students, actually advise parents to dye their hair black so they are not teased by their schoolmates because of jealousy.
It stems from good intentions, but fails to address the root of the problem, which is that Japanese society hates individuality.
