@Cynic
whats with this insistence of anglo-centric names?
Katarina is a perfectly normal name with a K
as with Giordo, there are actual Italians named Giordo
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katar...рина) is,spelling in several other languages.
no one is forcing all Ivans to respell their name as John even though Ivan is a Cyrillic version of "John", why force Katarina to be Catarina?*
"Ivan (Cyrillic: Иван or Іван) is a Slavic male given name, a variant of the Greek name Iōánnēs (English: John) from Hebrew יוֹחָנָן" - wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan_(name)
* there is going to be hilarious consequence to this if it is applied consistently considering much of the European names are derivative of each other
for example, Ivan, Ian, Jon, John, Giovanni, Evans, Juan, Hans, Johan, Jan, Iefan are just "John" spelt differently by different regional language
not to mention the feminine form, Jean, Jeanette, Ivana, or the 'son of' form, Johnson, Jensen, Hanson
