This is definitely different from the original, with a new character to boot! I do find this a lot more interesting, though, admittedly, mostly because things are a lot more challenging for Katarina here than it was in the original.

I love the original series but i really enjoy how much flavour boosting hard mode bakarina has. The new characters are interesting and it feels much more genuine seeing Katarina reach out and apologize for the things she's done wrong to the others.

@Mangareader It is. I mean the other Bakarina has average grades but she definitely has ADHD and low memory retention. This Katarina is able to focus. Must be because her skull was thicker and she didn't hit her head on a huge ass rock to regain her memories.

Im really glad we are seeing more of a deviation from the original, it felt like the previous chapters had the same development with the exception of them happening at a later time. I really hope her swordsmanship isn't dropped for a throwaway gag and that keith is more difficult to aquire... or whatever you wanna call it.

Is it weird that I kind of want this story to go down a less comedic and more dark storyline?
Don't get me wrong, the stupidity and humor of Bakarina is what makes the series so lovable, but I feel like there would be no point in seeing her remembering her past later in the timeline if it's going to take the same path as the original. I feel like by making this series just a tad bit more serious (i.e. with the possibility of not making proper amends with Keith) it could end up just as unique as the original Bakarina was.
