Yes, they were originally colored, and also the sound effects, we don't usually remove them if those are not too many or not that important, but here it was necessary. I had a lot of fun claning them and redrawing using colors!

Also, "implicit purity of yuri" feels kind of gross. I want to preface this explanation with the disclaimer that this was likely included as to poke fun at the "purity" line of thinking, but, also, that many that think that way probably don't hold the beliefs that were held when the connotations arose. I've put my thoughts in spoilers so those easily offended can just ignore it.

It carries the old connotations of sex being something that men do to women rather than with them thereby "dirtying" them(this is well-documented in academia). As a woman that typically prefers women, this line of thinking feels like it dehumanizes me and categorizes sex between women as "not counting".

Yeah, the whole purity thing is... old world. But at the same time it's so deeply rooted in the culture that I can't fully break myself from it. I try. But it is hard.

... Is that why I like yuri? For the supposedly untainted purity of the characters' love, no matter what they do? Or is it that I like the dynamic between two women, who can understand each other at a more core level than those in a relationship involving a man and a woman?

Or is it just a fetish, and am I just some weirdo.

In any case, I support you. Sexual liberation for people of all bodies and genders.

For the little it's worth, I interpreted the joke as being at the expense of that attitude. In regards to the rest of your post, I tend to gravitate towards titles (both yuri and hetero) with female characters who express their sexual desire. As a het guy, I can't say that I relate to your specific concerns, but I do understand what you're saying and generally agree. For me, it's that characters like that speak to my experiences with women, both friends, and partners, and feel more realistic. In my experience, at least, women are just as horny as men, there are just more potential repercussions for them talking about it.

@DreamCarver it's rare to see this kind of dynamic in any Male x Female romance manga series, cause most of it turn into RomCom cause it's much more profitable that way. Pretty sure each couple in this series have their own dynamics cause the author are just that good at creating characters.
