Okay, I don't get this. This chapter came out of nowhere. Who are the 2 women with the dogs? What are they in relation to the rest of the story? I get that this is a dog chapter (I'm not a dog person, so I didn't get a lot of it, but that's okay), but why put this random chapter in?

As for the why who the heck knows. Maybe Torajirou just wanted to experiment a bit, or he or someone he knows had a beloved pet die on them and he felt like exploring the topic.
