It's nothing super remarkable as a romance, but it's super relatable as a musician. @.@
I went through the same dilemma she has here... Do I really love music or am I just doing it because it's what I've always done/what I'm good at/what I've dedicated so much time and effort to? If I do love music, will I still love it after being restricted by school requirements, competing with others with higher stakes, and trying to make a living from it?
I think many of us go through this. :/
Separately, in college, I had a music theory professor (he was also head of the composition program iirc) who had degrees in both physics and music, so that combination here is a bit of a coincidence.
