It feels soo good to read something about different cultures depicted through a Japanese art style, It's so fascinating!!!

I feel you man/woman. This author really knows how to portray the culture and family traditions that are innate and ones that live throughout their heritage. It's pretty amazing.

I thought the very same thing. Only that I added more to it.
For me, Talas' story is like a mix of Ruth & Naomi story and Judah' daughter-in-law story (marrying various brothers because the oldest died and she didn't have children). Only that with Tamar it was her mother-in-law that died after the death of the sons, while with Talas was her father-in-law.
