This is a really easy-going story it started off with an unconventional and sweet romance that has yet to really cross the physical boundary, then with the threat of Amira's family taking her back to be used as a bargaining chip only to fall through, although I'm curious of what happened to the those of her Family that was sympathetic to her plight but still went along with trying to take her away. I'm glad the It's not just about Amir/Amira and Karluk, and that the story is branching off to more characters.
But beyond all that Drama; the focus of the Manga is also a nice tour through this people's culture and traditions and challenges along its Borders with the Russians, so far, all coming from an author who seems to have actually lived and breathed this part of the word for a time with the notes of the dishes at the end to be quite the unexpected welcome, unless those were added by the translators it is still a nice addition.
I came across this on MAL and the summary seemed interesting but it sat on my backlog for a long time, as I don't usually go for romance or Slice of Life but I'm glad I jumped in on this.
