Ugh...
Some games of CK2 I absolutely despaired....
I mean one of my primary objectives when playing Crusader Kings 2 was always the complete and utter annihilation of islam.
Problem is it is programmed to be ridiculously strong and spread all over the fuckin place... and usually while the steppe nomads and the like start Tengrist Pagan in the early start dates... and there might be some Zoroastrians and Zunists about... it is fucking alarming how quickly Islam spreads up there.
So I'd quite often spend chunks of the early game trying to help the Tengrists with their wars in the hopes of gaining more religious authority for them so they would be less inclined to convert...
... but of course the AI is retarded, won't do what serves their purposes best, and tend to just fuck things up.
And usually even when I've taken Spain back from the last of the Umayyads and started conquering my way across North Africa to destroy the Abbasids... they've usually extended their filthy claws from Baghdad and started spreading north... typically prevented from going west by the Byzantines.
Anyway...
Point is I can't really do away with this mentality. And part of me is still hoping these people can reject the islamic influence and stick to Tengrism.
