I don't get it. If an NPC buys his stuff for game money and he converts it to USD, isn't the game company losing money? I can understand if other players spend money to buy credits to buy another player's stuff. But where does the money from NPCs come from?
@Nk9bjP4A Don't think about it, because the author decided to not put any effort into it. The economy in this game just sticks with $1USD = 1,200 WON = 1 gold conversion from start to the current ch1273 in the WN. (I think this ch is around ch60-70 in the WN.) But after ch220 money isn't really a major plot point so don't worry about it. Just assume that the amount of gold people want to buy is equal with the amount of gold people want to sell.
@Nk9bjP4A He's not selling the gold back to the game company, he's selling it to other players via the game's exchange system, from which the company gets a % so they're actually earning money.
